Kitten advice

I have a two month old kitten. He follows me around everywhere, sleeps in my bed, and cries when I leave. I recently stayed at a friends house a couple days and during my visit I made trips to the house to check on my kitten. I noticed he wasn't eating when I was away because his foodbowl had the same amount as the day I left. When I came back home he started to eat again. BTW my cat eats alot. Any ideas as to why he stopped eating when I was away?

Lonely and stressed? Kittens are very social animals and aren't too keen on being alone for the most part. How long have you had him? Any chance you could adopt one of his siblings or another kitten the same age so he can have a friend to keep him company?

Also, you might want to think about changing his diet to wet food instead of dry (much healthier for all cats, but especially growing kittens). What brand/flavour does he eat now, and when you say he eats a lot, how much is that?
