Offering/Trade Catch Release Cage small size Montreal

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone!

I was doing some spring cleaning in my backyard shed and found this trap and release cage that must have belonged to the past owners of my place...as well as much other junk that was left there by them for me to dispose of!

So I have a cage that can be used for trap/ neuter/release of animals, or to relocate an animal.
The cage has these dimentions: 18X6X7, approx.
It has two doors at each end. It is made of metal that looks like strong aluminium. It is made by the company ''Havahart''.

It appears, after some internet research, that this cage is used to trap squirells and animals of this size.
It could also be used to trap/neuter/release a small cat or kitten.

I do not need it, as my cats really like looking at the wildlife, and the wildlife does not bother me!
And the strays/feral cats that visit me are too large to be trapped in the cage.

And I absolutely DO NOT want to throw it out or bring it to the used store as a donation in case ill intentioned persons would pick it up and mistreat/hurt or use the animals in a lab.

I would prefer to deal with a ''long time regular'' of pets.ca, who has a lot of posts, just so I can see this is a serious pet loving person!

So I am stuck with it and would be willing to donate/trade it with someone who may have scratching post, cat tree (even if the covering is in bad shape, I can fix this myself), pet carier, transport cage, slightly used large litter box with cover, cat food, non-perfumed clay cat litter (my cats won't use any other kind), cool cat toys or other such cat goodies!

Please note that I will donate the cage even if you have nothing to trade!

The cage has been cleaned, disinfected, washed and scrubbed thouroughly by myself, so it has no smells or gunk on it.
It is very hygienic.
I tried it and it and the mechanism functions just fine, I can also show you how it works if you need.

I live in Verdun Montreal, and don't have a car, so we can do the exchange at a meeting point in Verdun. De L'Eglise metro station, or the Tim Hortons on the corner LaSalle and De L'Eglise are best for me.

I am offering this because I believe in the trap, neuter and release concept, as well as in relocating animals instead of using harmfull or poisonous means, and would like to help as many animals as possible!

Please PM me to make arrangements. I check my messages only about twice a week, as I do not have internet at home, so if you leave me your phone number, I can get in touch with you faster.

Hoping this will help any poor animal out there!

No longer available!

Hi,

Just letting all of you know that the cage is no longer available!

A friend of mine took it and will take it apart and make a bird manger with it, as he feeds ''peanut butter, lard and other goodies'' to blue jays and other birds in the winter...

At least it went to a good home and a good cause!
The parts he cannot use in his home made feeder will be put for metal recycling!
