I Need Help With My Older Dog
 

My Schnauzer is always very outgoing and very active. he is
12 1/2 years old, and lately when he hears loud noises he starts shakeing and runs and hides in the closet, i call him to come out and he just starts shaking really bad sits on my lap and pants. he has also been jumping in the bath tub when he hears loud noises. any time i am about to go to work he sits at the door looks at me and starts shaking. he has never done anything like this at all. he hates the bath tub, and usually he wouldnt go in the closet if i am not in there he has never had a reason too.please let me know what you think could be wrong. i took him to the emergency room last wed. they said they had no idea checked his vitals and everything was normal. he has been doing this for less than a week, but i am very worried. please help.

It is possible that your dog is becoming senile.

12.5 years dogtime equals 87.5 years human time.

If he starts to exhibit [I]other[/I] strange behaviors, I'd say that that's a good bet....as sad as it is.
