Too Early to start training school?

I am wondering what is the recommended age to go to doggie training?
My Buddy is 12 weeks old, and to me certainly seems able to understand some commands, like down, sit and come.
Any advice out there?

They have puppy classes geared to little ones so no it's not too early. Just make sure that he has two DHPCP vaccines, 1 lepto and 1 bordetella at least under his belt for more than 2 weeks so that he doesn't get anything or if comes in contact will be partly protected. Waiting until 16 weeks he would be fully protected as all 3 DHPCP's should be done as well as 2 lepto and 1 bordetella and maybe even the Rabies.

I started my dog at 12 wks, in "puppy playschool". Basically it's for socializing the pup's (lots of play time), but also teaches the owners how to properly handle the pups, how to introduce grooming habits, how to deal with normal puppy behavior (chewing, biting, etc.). The school I use takes pups as young as 8wks.

It's a good idea to observe a class before signing up - to be sure it's right for you & your pup.

Gomez started puppy classes at 8 weeks old, and he really enjoyed them!

You can and will want to start any time now. Your puppy has had vaccines and is like a little sponge so will take everything you give your puppy. My puppy classes include off lead play time where they learn the rules of play, read body language etc, household manners and many of their basic skills. My classes are not just a social time for pup even though we do a lot of work in that area.
