My cat is dripping after using the litter box

Hi,

I have adopted a male Manx and a female domestic cats. Both of them have been neutered and spayed. I notice my male Manx cat always "drip" after he uses the litter box and my female cat never has that problem. I have been using tissue paper to wipe and "dry" him after he used the litter box. Just wondering if this is common among male cats? How could I help him to fix the problem?

Thanks!

A couple of drops seem normal to me

Hi Sanny,

My HUSBAND has the same problem...a bit drippy...but the underwear takes care of that.

Obviously cats don't wear underwear...so it's a bit drippy.

Unless it's a MAJOR drip...i think a couple of drops after urinating is normal.

I've had male cats...and I've experienced the same phenomenon...

..........But i'm not a vet....so if you're very worried...you should see one.

big drip or l'il drip?

LOL on Lyla's answer.

But my older cat also has a drip.

i think it's all about the quantity of the drip....a really big drip could be the sign of a urinary problem.

but a little drip....normal in my humble opinion.

Yeah, they are usually small drips. You could trace it, he is quite good now as he usually "clean" up after using the litter box... He doesn't have sign of pain or anything at all. But I am just wondering if all male cats have this problem like our husband do?
