Seeking Snowshoe Cat Owners

I am thinking of getting a six month old male snowshoe. He is so beautiful. I know they were originally part Siamese so I'm wondering if they are very Siamese like. Are they very needy and super talkative like a Siamese? They apparently get along well with dogs and my dog is very friendly and loved her cat that passed away in August. Just want to make sure he would be a good fit for us. No kids. Just hubby, me and our dog.

well i have a snow shoe, she isn't talkative that much only when she wants something but then again none of my siamese were talkative unless they wanted something. i think as long as you get a cat young it would be fine with a dog.. my girl lives with 2 dogs and she does cry to get there attention n then she does tell them when to back off. she about 5 now and grew up with an older dog and now she dealing with 2 dogs both under 2 years old. She at times swats at them and growls but has never used her claws on either of them.
But i found mine does drool like a dog when she is overly happy.

yes grumpy cat is a snowshoe... if u look on wikipedia it says the reason for "grumpy cat" looks grumpy because of feline dwarfism and has an under bite.. and states she a mixed breed.

Very interesting. I didn't know cats could be born with dwarfism like some humans. Love to learn something new. So that's why the underbite. Well at least it worked in her favor. Her care taker must be making really good money which I hope is also used for her care.

i didnt know about the dwarfism in cats either. n from what i was ready grumpy cat is only grumpy cat 2 hours a day and the restof the time she tartar sauce(her real name)..

back on topic of snow shoes. they come in in all different colours and patterns and can be with different mixed breeds. so it can be hard to tell if they are all act the same.
