Cats and Microfiber Sofa

We are replacing our living room furniture and I am looking at a Bauhaus Microfiber sectional.
Has anyone with cats had any experience with this material?
The furniture we are replacing is leather and although Maggie does not intentionally scratch the furniture she has inflicted some pretty serious damage pulling herself up to look out the windows.
Thanks, Laurie

I hear ya about the leather! It was brand new for a whole 4 days here... then Buddy slipped off and grabbed on! But hubby and I had a talk sitting on the couch in the store.... and agreed that we wouldn't freak out at every scratch! As for the microfiber ones (I assume you mean that 'ultra-suede' material) and it is supposed to be the best to get if you have pets.... I believe our Chico has that and from our last similar discussion, if I remember correctly, she loves it. Good luck with the new couches!

Yes,for sure the best material if you have pets.
I have 3 cats and a smallish sectional in my den made of micro-fiber,I've had it for many years.
Make sure you can unzip the pillows and seat-cushions,they wash wonderfully in the machine.
