...Dh is . It was all his idea .

Meet Toby, Theo, and Poppy :). Approx. 6 1/2 week old LabXs :cloud9:. Mom is a Chocolate Lab, dad a Flat Coated RetrieverX. The first photo is the temporary setup we have for them. Then there's Toby. And Theo and Poppy having a snooze.

Sib.HuskyMom January 12th, 2010 06:15 PM

aw, I'm in love! :cloud9: Sooooo cute!

And aren't those flexible doggy gates the best? We had them to block off different sections of the house for the first month or so that we brought our boys home. Love them.

It's actually a play pen for toddlers that I picked up at ToysRus. They make these for dogs too? I find it's a lot easier than the x-pens as I just have to climb over rather than climb into :D. And you can buy extra panels to enlarge it so that's quite convenient for us depending on the sizes/ages of puppies.

Sib.HuskyMom January 12th, 2010 06:32 PM

ha-ha. We actually borrowed ours from a friend, so I assumed they were specificlly for doggies (she doesn't have any kids).
But they look exactly the same as yours, so that must be where they were from.

Chaser January 12th, 2010 07:41 PM

What sweeties :cloud9: I would love to take care of three puppies!

Marcha January 12th, 2010 08:07 PM

Very very cute! Looks like Uncle Lucky will have more uncle-work ahead of him!

My Lodi Girl January 12th, 2010 08:12 PM

Awwwww! Lucky you getting to smell all that puppy breath! Don't ya just love puppy breath? :flirt:
I don't think your crazy
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Breeze :D. It's dh that's losing it this time round. First he agrees with Nukka's adoption, then he offers to foster the puppies...he's softening up :goodvibes:.
I would love to take care of three puppies!
You're welcome to come take the night shift, Chaser :D.
Looks like Uncle Lucky will have more uncle-work ahead of him!
Omd, he's in his element! You know when they say to give a dog a job to do? He loves his job :dog:.

When we were camping this summer I walked by a campsite with a similar setup and was thinking that was a great idea for their dogs (cause there was other dog stuff around) and then later we walked by and they actually had it for their kid . How can you tell I am a fur mom and not a human one :o.

14+kitties January 12th, 2010 11:11 PM

:cloud9::cloud9: So cute!!! Hubby must have had a huge change of heart. He's changing from Scrooge into an  What a great job you've done with him!!! :D:highfive:

 We keep saying they should make bigger ones to keep teenagers out of trouble :D.
What a great job you've done with him!!! :D:highfive:
Yeah, he's been the toughest, and the longest, to train so far...but he's finally coming along :D.

Should have sent mine out to give him some lessons on how to give up gracefully. He learned pretty quickly although he still tries to pretend he's tough occasionally.

YAY PUPPY PICS :cloud9: :lovestruck:

Oh they are adorable, LP :cloud9:

 I know that look Penny is giving, it is the same one Puddles gives when I bring a new litter of kittens into the house.

Those pups don't know how lucky they are to end up in your home to be fostered. :lovestruck:

babydoll101 January 13th, 2010 10:22 AM

Nope, we adopted them all .

Just kidding :D. Yes, they are fosters. We picked them up yesterday morning and they're settling in quite nicely. They're really quiet but that's likely due to their age. Awfully friendly and they all love to be handled/cuddled :cloud9:.

We do have to expand their pen today to include a separate potty area. It was -17c last night with winds so way too cold to be bringing them out in the middle of the night, brrrr.

Here are individual pics I took of them...in order, Poppy, Toby, and Theo :cloud9:.

ancientgirl January 13th, 2010 02:28 PM

Cute! Aww, puppy faces.:lovestruck::lovestruck:

Marty11 January 13th, 2010 04:07 PM

Dee-O-Gee January 13th, 2010 09:38 PM

Bless your husband's heart LP! :lovestruck: I absolutely love the set up you have in the first picture. Did you just lay down tile underneath the fold up baby gate? It just looks so organized, clean and comfy LP that I would love to cuddle up in there too! :lightbulb:

hazelrunpack January 13th, 2010 09:45 PM

Poppy has her glamor-girl look on. :flirt:

But holy catz!! I can't get over how much Toby and Theo look alike!!! The two handsome dudes look identical! :lovestruck:

Poppy is the largest of the three and is all black with a fuzzier coat than her brothers. Toby is the smallest with a tiny little splash of white on his chest and has brown feet. Theo's white splash is much larger and his legs are brindle. Up until this afternoon I was still getting the boys mixed up but I've got it now :D.
Bless your husband's heart LP!
You know, there are days I'd like to put him up for adoption :o, but it's times like this that I just love him to pieces :cloud9:.
I absolutely love the set up you have in the first picture. Did you just lay down tile underneath the fold up baby gate?
We have two huge pieces of thick carton on the floor, then laid vinyl flooring on top of it. For the next 1-2 weeks, they will remain in the garage (it's heated), and then we will move them inside with the rest of the pack. That's when they get their individual crates for naps and night time to make house training easier.

I took a few more pics. Dh in the pen with the pups :D, and the expanded enclosure he set up today. He opened the playpen up to give them more room for their crate, bowls, and play area, then attached the x-pen for a potty area. He was so excited that they took to it right away .

hazelrunpack January 13th, 2010 10:15 PM

omd, they're so tiny!!!! They don't look that tiny in their individual pics. :o What a great pic with them sitting in dh's lap! :flirt: :cloud9: Incredibly cute!!!!

luckypenny January 13th, 2010 10:21 PM

They range in weight from just under 4 1/2 lbs to 6 1/2 lbs. In no time they'll be bigger and bouncing all over the place though :D.
