Izzy & Bella Laid an Egg!!!
 

Well, only Bella did actually, but I'm sure Izzy is the Father of it :D They are my little pet button quail and this is the first time that Bella has produced an egg. It won't hatch - unfortunately it has a small crack in it - but I'm hoping for more now that they've had their first. I know they are doing what needs to be done for fertilizing the eggs so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have some baby buttons in the near future!

After all I've read I really do doubt that they'll be able to hatch any babies on their own so unless I wanna fork out the dough for an incubator all I'll probably ever be is an egg producer :(

I know NOTHING about button quails, but I do remember that our turtle doves Tony and Cleo had a gazillion eggs before they had one that hatched (jimmy dean). We always thought they'd never have a baby and then...voila! In came Jimmy!
