Barking at the Moon

I can't believe it. It's unbelievable. I wanted to wait a few days before posting about it, because I didn't think it could possibly be true.

WE HAVE REACHED HAPPY POOP LAND.
After less than a week on 100% BATM (I've been gradually switching him over from Evo RM). We have happy poops. For more than a day.

I could kiss the bag. I could french kiss the bag!!! ok, maybe not.....

More than a year of searching for a food that doesn't make Buster's bum explode. I simply can't believe it.

The only that sucks now is I gotta worry about mercury (salmon meal being the first ingredient in BATM).

So I've norrowed down the problem foods to : chicken, barley and lamb.

I never thought I would get so excited about pooop, but there it is!

Prin December 12th, 2006 02:01 PM

YEY! That's so awesome! :highfive: :highfive:

(I wouldn't worry much about the mercury though.;))

break out the champagne! we have happy poops! yeeeessss!!!

Hunter's_owner December 12th, 2006 02:06 PM

Good news for sure. That is how I felt after Hunter got better after we discovered his severe intolerance to lamb, and that was only a couple of days. I can't imagine dealing with it as long as you have. Good for you for working hard to find something good for him:thumbs up

meb999 December 12th, 2006 02:07 PM

It's so ridiculous to be so excited...but everytime I pick up a poop, I wanna do a little dance...because I don't need a shovel!!

You'd think I won somesorta prize or trophy or something, that's how excited I am!

' I'd like to thank my parents, for being so amazing, and also everyone on pets.ca, for helping me through the rough years...I just can't believe I WON!! It's all so unexpected!! ' *tear*

Hunter's_owner December 12th, 2006 02:09 PM

LMAO:D Too funny. Leave it to dog owners to get so excited over something like this:o

Prin December 12th, 2006 02:13 PM

It's good news though! I'd be wondering if you weren't excited about it. :D

TeriM December 12th, 2006 02:19 PM

Great news. Sigh... it's the simple things in life that give us such pleasure ;) .

Scott_B December 12th, 2006 02:59 PM

Congrats! Heres hoping it stays that way! :thumbs up

what's more rediculous is how excited WE are FOR YOU. hee hee... seriously though, that's excellent news! I think we can all relate to your excitement - finally finding a food that works... such a good feeling (and for the dogs too!)

~michelle~ December 12th, 2006 04:04 PM

congrats.......:D :D :D

hazelrunpack December 12th, 2006 04:41 PM

We once had a dog with inflammatory bowel disease--the diagnosis had a profound effect on our dinner conversations! "Guess what, dear, Evan had a great poop today," she'd exclaim over her baked potato...or "Pudding poop again today," he'd say sadly into his clam chowder... So I can really relate to poop elation!

Congratulations, me&b!!!!!!! Wooohooooo!

chico2 December 12th, 2006 04:44 PM

meb999,nothing is more exciting than solid poop,be it a cat or a dog:thumbs up

Prin December 12th, 2006 05:00 PM

lol Hazel- funny how the "she" gets the happy poop while the "he" suffers with the goopy poopies.:D

meb999 December 12th, 2006 05:03 PM

hey, heeeeee's not the one who's gotta pick 'em up :D

jawert1 December 12th, 2006 05:19 PM

Meb it's so good to hear you've had success. I'm preparing to try my 2 on BatM, since they're not faring so well on the new formula for WK. Congrats on solid poos!

meb999 December 12th, 2006 05:21 PM

good luck Jawert! Hope you have as much success as I do :D

Prin December 12th, 2006 05:22 PM

Yeah... I been thinking about it too, since evo's not doing so well. But don't tell anybody. :o

meb999 December 12th, 2006 05:24 PM

but you and Solid Gold had such a nasty divorce!! :D

I happy about the poops, now I have my :fingerscr :fingerscr that he has as beautifull a coat on BATM than he did on WK :fingerscr :fingerscr

Prin December 12th, 2006 05:27 PM

Yeah, I know... But I learned my lesson. (Don't encourage other people ;))

rainbow December 12th, 2006 07:29 PM

I was just thinking about you and Buster when I clicked on the dog food forum and wondering if you tried the montmorillonite clay. I guess you don't need it now. :D

Congratulations !!!

yep, you got that same problem, eh, meb? :D

Aodhan December 16th, 2006 09:50 AM

Hi Marie-Eve,

Congratulations on that milestone! Very happy to read that Buster has gone beyond the gaseous and liquid stages :thumbs up

:fingerscr that it will remain that way. Your success makes me think BATM might be an option to consider to address the problems of one dog I know.

Prin December 16th, 2006 02:21 PM

How are the poopies? Still ok? :o

rainbow December 16th, 2006 02:26 PM

I hope they are too. :fingerscr :fingerscr

meb999 December 17th, 2006 12:49 PM

better than ok --> they're AWESOME!! beautifull little formed hard poopies. It's unbelievable.

Also, I've noticed he has good energy on BATM, and he stopped chewing his paws.
WOOOOOOO!!

cpietra16 December 17th, 2006 02:33 PM

I guess only animal lovers could really get this excited over the texture of poop...but what the heck...it's really exciting when you don't have to pick it up huge syringe:D

Prin December 17th, 2006 03:18 PM

Yey! That's so great! Buster must be so happy too.:)

Scott_B December 17th, 2006 04:36 PM

Excellent news! :highfive:

rainbow December 18th, 2006 07:22 PM

WooHoo.....finally. :thumbs up I'm so happy for both you and Buster. :highfive:

technodoll December 18th, 2006 07:31 PM

i am soooo happy for you guys! big happy dance!

meb999 December 23rd, 2006 12:55 PM

I gotta say...Buster's coat is UNBELIEVABLE! It's shinier than it's EVER been, his teeth are beautifull (then again, I'm a tooth-brusher...so that might be why :D )

I'm so glad we tried BATM. This is really working out for us. People keep stopping us on the street to tell me how beautifull and shiny my doggy is :thumbs up Plus he's soft, like REALLY soft..... I'm so thrilled.

Prin December 23rd, 2006 12:56 PM

Yey! That's so great! :)

rainbow December 23rd, 2006 07:22 PM

This story just keeps getting better and better. :thumbs up :cloud9:

Scott_B December 23rd, 2006 08:23 PM
