Oh I am absolutely in love with how gorgeous Smudge is! And he looks so big! How much does he weigh so far? What a GORGEOUS boy! :lovestruck:

9 pounds. He's dying to play with Cider, she keeps barking in his face. I hope she chills out eventually. She was pretty happy at agility class.. He got a personal walk around the block tonight, then she got a 2 hour walk to the lake even after an hour of agility. Was hoping she'd be calmed enough to deal.. not so much.. still awfully barky..

It must be tough for the *Princess* when her "lowly subjects" stay for longer than expected :)

It took Duffy :cat: 1 week of hiding from Cally :dog: when I first brought him home to become the best buddies they were for 6 yrs. In time :fingerscr she will accept him - he's too cute not to :D

Cider's got quite a *stern* (sorry don't know how else to put it) set of eyebrows - is that common w/blondes? ~ I see Smudge doesn't, same w/my sisters' chocolate cocker :shrug: or is it just the fur trimmed short on her head that gives that appearance?

Didn't get adopted. My grandmother had a heart attack and then died, he wasn't allowed to leave town, I had to return him to deal with it. When I got back they didn't really want me to retake him. He's still sitting there. I inquired about him 2 days ago (again) and apparently no home is good enough. I feel bad for him, but the criteria is so hardcore I'm not sure he'll ever be adopted. They want a performance home for him, and he is so desperate to be with people he doesn't do well with other dogs. His manners are pretty poor. The possibility of a home doing dog sports with no other dog is pretty unlikely.. As most performance people get a dog, then have 2.. then have 3.. 4.. etc. Rare to have one live out its life and then look for another..

Usually black and tan's look grumpy.. Something about the markings. Smudge's are sparser than many b and ts.. so he doesn't have the grump look. Cider's got an overly expressive face, she smiles too, but often when the camera comes out inside gets grumpy.. She also looks field bred and has a slightly different face..

Smudge is adorable and Cider is just as gorgeous as ever. :cloud9:

and such a shame about the little JRT. Too bad he;s there all alone. Sometimes I think rescues are too strict. Too many dogs waste great opportunities to get adopted that way. JMO :o I hope he finds a home soon:fingerscr

He was shown to people in jrt rescue in the last two days. I was told of a home that only wants jrts with loads of experience and a love of sports. Sounds perfect.. Pray for him..

Little better. No extreme growling when he gets within 5 ft of her. he actually sat on my lap 2 days ago and her beside me on a couch and was fine.. It's improving some.
