Abby Baby!

At the end of May I adopted a 2.5 a beautiful pure white Longhair Exotic kitten, then 2.5 months old. I named her Abby. This weekend she will turn five months old - since adoption she has grown so much and more than doubled her weight.

Of course I couldn't resist posting an image of her here; it was taken last weekend during morning playtime. She is as sweet and funny as can be. Such a joy! :)

Dog Dancer August 9th, 2013 10:32 AM

Abby certainly has some serious cuteness going on! Thanks for sharing, but really, just one picture?? There's a name for guys like you.... lol

Jull August 9th, 2013 10:47 AM

Yes I think DD is right there should be more than one picture :D

:lovestruck: she is adorable though.

hazelrunpack August 9th, 2013 01:17 PM

What a beauty, DougG! :lovestruck: But we really do need more than just one picture...you know...so we can be sure she's really as lovely as she looks in this shot!! These things do need to be verified! (Plus it makes a wonderful excuse for us to pester you for more pics! )

That face should be on a cat calendar, I love the hairy ears.

pattymac August 9th, 2013 11:16 PM

Ahh yes she definitely wants you to take more pictures to share.

Abby is just gorgeous, DougG. What is her temperament like? When we had our Persian I found her to be a very sweet, gentle cat. Not boisterous. Curious about the different breeds, what they are like to live with.

I bet she can get around in the dark good , I read cats feel their way around in the dark with their whiskers and hair in their ears. she is very cute.

Here's a new pic of Abby. Nine months old, and rapidly closing in on six pounds. What a wonderful little girl! :lovestruck:

She is very cute , what color are her eyes?

DougG January 16th, 2014 08:52 AM

Nice and blue! I'll post a colour pic as soon as I have one that I'm happy with - she's a pretty busy little girl and I have dozens of totally blurry shots of her. :p

Abby is ten months old now, and just hit 6 pounds. :cloud9:

hazelrunpack January 16th, 2014 12:22 PM

What a doll!! :lovestruck:

Indeed. And I think she knows it. ;)

For now here's a pic of her from when she was just a few weeks old, and still at the cattery. Lookit those blue eyes!

Barkingdog January 16th, 2014 08:33 PM

Wow, she has beautiful blue eyes , she sure is a cutie.

hazelrunpack January 17th, 2014 11:03 AM

Yep, those are some gorgeous blue eyes for sure!!

DougG February 26th, 2014 08:51 PM

Abby will turn one year old on March 10th.

She had her first heat last week. Surprise!

I know we are lucky it didn't happen sooner.

Back to normal now thank gawd.

She is at the vet overnight and will be spayed tomorrow morning. I'll be pretty uptight until I talk to the clinic tomorrow after lunch. May leave her in until Friday morning to keep her quiet and resting, and as a post-op precaution.

Poor poo, not lookin' happy in her clinic cage. The clinic staff think she is the bee's knees. I do too. :)

Barkingdog February 26th, 2014 10:39 PM

I bet she will be so happy to see you. And that is great you had her spay . I hope Abby will feel better soon .

hazelrunpack February 27th, 2014 09:58 AM

Poor dear. She'll be as happy to be home again as you will be to have her there! Sending along some :goodvibes: for healing!

Marty11 February 27th, 2014 10:25 AM

She is absolutely beautiful. :cloud9: Speedy recovery little one!

Lynne&Co. February 27th, 2014 12:12 PM

Wow, she sure is pretty!

DougG March 15th, 2014 08:25 AM

Abby was a very good girl after her surgery - I was worried she would be at her incision all the time and I'd have to put a cone on her but no, she left it alone and it is healing very nicely. The sutures were removed this past Wednesday and she is doing just great.

marko March 15th, 2014 08:47 AM

Glad everything went well - crazy good lookin' cat - and you are capturing her well! :highfive:

hazelrunpack March 15th, 2014 11:29 AM

Yay! I love good updates, DougG! :thumbs up

Sooo....can we have more pics now? :D

budgrrl March 15th, 2014 02:14 PM

She's absolutely precious :lovestruck:

Dog Dancer March 15th, 2014 10:48 PM

Glad to hear Abby's surgery and recovery went off well. She's still just as adorable too!

DougG March 16th, 2014 07:29 AM

Abby graciously interrupted her morning tear through the house to let me get a quick shot of her. Taken this morning in pretty low light, the sun was just starting to peek through the back windows.

hazelrunpack March 16th, 2014 10:59 AM

:lovestruck:

I love the color of her eyes! Is she as soft as she looks?

Barkingdog March 16th, 2014 11:18 AM

I bet one pat is not enough, she looks so soft you'll want pat her all the time.

DougG March 16th, 2014 11:22 AM

Abby's coat is indeed pretty downy and soft, but very different than our other Himmies - she doesn't have a heavy undercoat which mats up in the blink of an eye. Maybe that will change as she gets older.
