the funny things our pets do....

Bestia has always loved sitting on people's laps, well over the last few months I have noticed that whenever he has a little gas come out, he will jump in panic and stare at me blaming me for it! it is the funniest thing... Specially considering that people always blame the dogs.

We had a summer camp while growing up and us kids had some friends over and where sitting on the pouch talking and all of a sudden someone pass some gas. Everyone stopped talking as the smell was really bad and we where wondering who just farted then there was another blast of a deadly bomb . Our Beagle then came crawling out from under the couch and looked at us in disgust and walked out of the room. We all LOL and it was so funny that our dog acted as if we had dropped a gas bomb.

LOL Eons ago when we bought one of those new fangled VCRs the first movie we rented was Silence of the Lambs and we had a friend over to share this unique new experience with.

Well, Whisper (yes, note the co-incidental name that is true and eerily matches this tale) must have eaten something off that day. She'd never had the blats before but she sure had them that night. And whenever she tooted she'd look around to her backside with an expression of consternation. And then at us, as if she was thinking, "Was that me? Oops, did they notice?"

The friend said he never thought he'd be pleased to have dog flatulence that would have people laughing through such an awful movie. :)

 too funny...

I wish I had a camera attached to my glasses to record whenever that happens though, honestly he just looks at me like "what the heck mom"? waiting for me to apologize almost  there has been times too when he is sleeping, then he jumps scared, then smells his butt  and goes back to sleep.

That is the best laugh I've had for a week. LOL@your dog Jull. Too funny.
Funniest photo I have ever seen was one of the British Royals up on the balcony at the Palace and obviously Phillip had farted. The looks on everyone's face were so hilarious. He looked smug, the Queen and Princess Anne were disgusted I think, William and Harry were laughing .... do wish I hadn't lost track of that one. :)

Lol Nyx will fart and you can hear it and she thinks nothing of it. for some reason they don't stink.. but one day she let one go and it stunk so bad that she looked at her bum and then at me, only to turn and leave the room. lol.

Today Bayley's dog walker was finally able to come take her out today, with a combination of floods, hot weather, she hasn't seen her for more than a month! OMG, you should've heard her..she starts with yipping...yipyipyip!! All while standing a ways away from her. I swear she was giving her heck! Too funny, she doesn't normally bark like that. Then after she said her peace it was all lovies and licks but she had to get her 2 cents in first.

too funny! I have not met a dog yet that you can actually hear him throw gas.

Our youngest dog, Guero, was notorious for his smelly gas when he first came to live with us, I don't know what kind of food he was on but oh my gosh! he made us roll the windows in the car a few times

I think they do! if I ever go out after work and come home late, I will not hear the end of it from Bestia

GF, I remember that picture well. If I find it I'll send it on to you.

I think if you've owned a dog, you've got a gassy story.

pattymac July 26th, 2013 10:21 AM

I'm very lucky, Bayley is rarely gassy! There was one food, that made her a bit farty but can't remember what it was. She's the look at her butt type too when she is! I can imagine with their sensitive noses that they really notice.

Well I am sitting on the couch right now trying to finish an assignment and Bestia who of course is the centre of the universe, keps pretending to play with his toy at the edge of the couch, then discretely pushes it down with the nose so that I get it for him :wall:

Marty will go into my bedroom and get in my bed and try to seduce me to rub his belly by wagging his tail and being extra cute, and it work . He does have a very cute little belly .
Where you able to finish your assignment?

rottysrule July 26th, 2013 08:10 PM

Nyx loves my best friend and will even push her bf out of the way so she can be near my friend. Worse though is if my friend parks her car in front of my house and goes off with her bf after he is done work. Well nyx will see the car and freaks out thinking my friend coming over. she will even beg n cry to get out n then get out of the gate(doesnt always latch propery) and will go circle the car and wait by the drivers door to see if my friend will come out. if not she will glare and be mad at my friend for a day if not more and wont let her out of sight.

That's devotion for you, rottysrule, Does it bother you at all that it's devotion to your best friend, or is she just as much in love with you? Must say a friend's GSD is always extremely happy to see me, but my own pup, apart from adoring my husband, hasn't met anyone he's that taken with.
DD, it'd be great if you could find that photo, such a classic. LOL.

I did about an hour and a half latter lol. I took them for a walk, that is all they needed :D

Rottysrule, bestia also adores one of my friends, when he sees her he literally wont stop kissing her, is funny, I call her "his girl friend" and that is how he identifies her...
