Pumpkins!!
 

So last year I bought some pumpkins and those ugly pumpkins (gourds) from a local farm. When they started to rot I just let them go and melt into the ground. Well, starting about late June these vines started popping up in the front garden... and then in the back garden as well! The vine in the front got very big and took over my yard, but I forgot to take a picture of it before I yanked it out =(

Well take a look on what I got!

here is the vine after I yanked it out. It was starting to rot so I just chucked it in the woods outback

Here is the big vine outback.. it's still growing slowly. not as much sun gets on it.

My gardens aren't as pretty as everyone elses.... but I've only been here 3 summers and the people who lived here before us were horrible landscapers and so we are still working on everything.

Those are some nice sized pumpkins and gourds. Funny how the plant at the back is just getting started with small pumpkins. They are so neat to grow but with all the rain we had up here this year they would have rotted. :sad:
