March 2012 - Pets.ca photo challenge - Pets looking straight into the camera
Hi members!
Anyone have any ideas for March's photo theme? I'll just throw something out but feel free to suggest something else and the theme with the most support by tomorrow becomes this month's challenge theme. What about pets looking straight into the camera? Thx! That's an easy one!! :) How about 'Just Tails'. Based on that..'guess the breed'... Benmax that sounds like fun!!!! Guess the breed by the tail.......:thumbs up Only problem is, most of us already know what breeds members have...and a lot of members have mixed breeds... :o UNBELIEVABLE, another month has past and we have entered a new one...time is flying by too quickly. Just a face/head shot? This sounds good to me. I like the idea of looking straight into the camera. A full frontal stare-down! Looks like looking into the camera has the most support so it is this month's challenge. thx all - merging suggestion posts now. |
Ok members,
The theme this month is pets looking straight into the camera. For feisty pets what sometimes helps is having someone else hold some food just above the lens while you take the picture. (it works with my cats anyway - lol) Ok then who will post first? |

The many faces of Cinnamon Girl:
(I think she looks like a therapist in this pic. "Now tell me about your mother ....") These are all so great. I think I am going to like this months challenge. Robyn, I lover the baby Nookie picture, so hard to believe that he was that small.
Sugarcatmom, Cinnamon really looks like a couch Dr  Csq, awwwww Marty, talk about eyes, your guy has them, they would stare down a burgler:D I do not have any to add at this time but I will take some shots of Sasha. |

Here are four of mine! The Chihuahuas were all received from the same breeder who went out of business 2 years ago.
The black & tan one is now 19, the white one is 15, and the cream one (doing her "roadkill" pose, but still looking straight at the camera despite no eyeballs) is 17. The toy poodle is an 18-year-old I adopted last summer. She just got through surgery to remove some cancerous growths on Thursday and is still hospitalized but doing fine. Marty, I have (another) one with "Marty Feldman eyes" too (besides the 19-yr-old, I mean). Will try to post a pic! |
TokyoParrot, what a special group you have. All seniors, and all so sweet. thanks for sharing these with us.

Gah! So many beautiful pics... Really awesome.
This is my Bu: Pronounced as "Boo" (also known as Saburo) At my parent's chilling out in their garden As you can see Bu has heterochromia♥ And here's my Mulder (aka Bebe Loco, Bonkers, Muldy, etc) right after she got spayed last year. I also have a question for SCM. What camera do you use? (model and brand) because I've noticed in the past that the color, textures and definition always look really good in your pics (besides the good photographer of course). |
I'm loving this thead so far! Great pics, everyone!!! :thumbs up
|
they would have you think that they're hobos, forced to sleep in cardboard boxes by their cruel mommy. I do not know why they prefer this box lid to the real, plush kitty beds I've bought them, but they've never once done more than sniff the beds. and I'm afraid to try to remove or replace this lid!

Christmas 2011`

In this one they are all giving me the Evil Eye - don't really like to dress up and pose, but they are all looking into the camera. This was my Christmas card for 2011.
It's been a while since I've been on the site. I lost my Grover in 2010 and for a while couldn't look at my dog pictures. Since then we have added Puck to the family. He's a rescue that came up from California with Pawsitive Match. He's been through two Canadian winters now and seems to love it here. He's called a Lhassa type but we really don't have a clue about him. He was found as an adult so the age estimate is about 4 years now. The other two have been posted here before, Pepper (Shih tzu x age approx. 6) and Tigger (Papillon age approx. 5). |

Swimming??!! Who me??!!

Humph CsqU4r3d...Gryphon & Chum look like they have a few things in common. :highfive:
The picture of Gryphon was from when he "fell" into the water rather than enjoying a swim. He doesn't know how to swim. :wall: Sweet Chum. :cloud9: |
