I'm new here and found this board because I was looking for comfort because my kitty of 17 years had to be put to sleep. I'm really not dealing with it well. I hope this board will be a good place to be and maybe healing too.

Welcome to the board. I saw your post in the Rainbow Bridge forum and posted my condolences there. Losing a pet is hard and sometimes the easier way to get out of the darkness is with the help of an animal... JMO...

I'm so sorry my heart is with you.... most of us know the pain of loseing a animal is the same as losing a best friend and family member i send you my cyber hugs

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my Puss-Puss too last January. I find a lot of comfort in my memories. It does get a little easier as time passes. You had 17 wonderful years - lots of memories. As the pain eases, you'll enjoy the sudden memories when you least expect them. Something will remind you of her. It helps to share with others too. I'd love to see a picture!
