How to feed my guinea pig
Okay this is probably a silly question, but how do I feed my new guinea pigs a carrot? I asked, earlier this week, for info on guinea pigs because we were thinking of getting our daughter 1. Well we went today and ended up with 2. They were so addorable I couldn't resist and now both of my daughters have 1. Lol! We just got them settled in but I don't know if I am supposed to cut up the carrot or just lay 1 in there with them. Thanks so much anyone!

Just put the carrot in with them, They should have no troubles devouring it,
If they do need it cut up (which I doubt) you'll quickly know by just observing. The more they do on their own the better for their teeth. |

Thank you so much for your quick reply, my daughters are going nuts wanting to give them the carrot.:)

You'll have found out by now that guinea pigs love carrots! No need to peel them. Lettuce too; the local grocery store used to give me boxes of 'outside' lettuce leaves. Don't give them anything gassy, such as onions, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, etc.
