my dog has lumps
 

my 10 year old yorkshire terrier, shih tzu, poodle cross dog has a lump on his side one in the skin that you can feel and move around but can not see that is staying around the size of a quarter however we noticed a small one under that one which seems to be connected to his rips, it is squishy but maintains its shape (half of a bouncy ball)it has gotten bigger and now is about as big as a toonie maybe slightly larger... my question is do you have any idea what it could be and should we be worried about it?

IMHO you should get your dog to a vet and have them check it out. Could be a fatty lump or something nasty. There are no vets here that will diagnose. I am sure that you will post pictures and update us on what your vet says. :)

i have taken him to 3 vets in my town and one out of town all of them have taken samples of the top one but they refuse to take samples of the larger and ever incresing lump... and im shaving him again since the snow is going away tomorrow then you can see it very easily so i will take a picture and post then

Where are you located? I would demand a biopsy or needle aspiration. I hope it is nothing serious. What did they say about the first lump?

My vet likes to look at them in a physical exam, measure them, and then we monitor. If needed, they are excised. You should be able to ask for a biopsy or aspiration, as mentioned. I'm not sure where you live, but here it is about $300 or so if you are sending the tissue to a pathologist.

And what is the reason they give you for refusing? :confused:

I agree with mummummum on this. What is their reason? And what alternatives have they given you? One reason that comes up is that the mass appears highly vascular and is likely to bleep profusely. While this may be a reason to avoid taking fine needle aspirates, it is also usually a reason to go in surgically and remove it if possible.
