This is one of my new favorites, it's a desert rose. We bought it and it was starting to fade, but we brought it back to life and I just love it!!!

You really seem to love that whole Oleander/plumeria family don't you??
The desert rose, also known as Adenium, is a member of the same family!! Not poisonous though. There is a guy on Ebay who breeds new varieties and sells TONS of seedlings on ebay. I can't buy them, but I hear you can get a nice collection going through him. They make good bonsai too. |
Yes I do! I love flowers that look like this. I think I might pick up another desert rose because it's done so well. I picked up a mandevilla (sp?) last week and it seems to be doing alright so far. It's pretty small for now, but I'm going to replant it into a bigger pot and increase the size of the trellis in it.
There is a neighbor around the corner who has the most gorgeous flowers in her yard, but I never see her out there to find out what they are. Maybe I'll sneak over there and take a picture of them and see if anyone knows what they are. They are big and gorgeous!! |
