Dr.Animal ctv-v 250
A show is coming on in a few minutes that some of you may want to check out. It says that it is about how animals self medicate themselves.

Wow! That's so cool. Obviously I missed it, but did you see it StaceyB?

They say that many natural medications have been found due to watching animals, like apes self medicating themselves.
I also saw a bit on animals using tools to get around and do things like checking the depth of a pond before wading through. |
Cool! Kinda OT...
I'm watching a show right now called Healing with Animals-they're showing a story about a pooch named Sweetheart that was set on fire  by two teenagers!!!!!! Can you believe it?! I mean, I know that sick stuff happens, but WOW. This poor little thing survived. They showed pics of her burns-AWFUL. Her story was everywhere and a woman who was also a burn victim saw it. She adopted her and Sweetie helped the woman with her recovery. The woman said that while caring for Sweetie, she found she had more energy and dealt better with her pain. She's now a pet therapy dog and visits all kinds of ppl in hospitals-including burn victims, that are especially helped by her. Everyone's inspired by Sweetie. I'm sitting here on a sunny Sunday morning, bawling at the TV, lol. |
I think people undersetimate the abilities of animals.
I am watching a show now called raising rover. |
There's a vet in S.Ontario that I have heard speak a couple of times and that I took my last two dogs to, to get home diets so I knew that I was feeding them properly.
She (can we use a vets name, if it is posative) talks about how some of her knowledge about natural medication came about, a lot of it is based on her watching what the animals on the farm she grew up on and the farm she now has eat when something is wrong with them. It makes so much sense. |
