rescue dog

Please help...
My 2nd dog (a rescue dog approx 4-5 yrs old) has been with us for 3 weeks now. He's great, but he cannot last all night without urinating. I have tried him in his carrier all night but whines at around 2am so I let him out and he goes for wee. If he is not in the carrier he will wee on the floor. He drinks alot but I am trying to restrict his water intake before bed. Also his urine doesnt appear to be very coloured, it looks quite colourless.
Yours
Kate R
