Just Saying Hello!
Hi everyone,
I just adopted a Boxer Mix (I think part Beagle) in January from the local shelter. She is now 4 months old. Her body looks like Boxer, her face like Beagle. We named her Bella. She is so sweet and loving, happy all the time...even when we scold her. She is growing fast. She's about 16 pounds now. The shelter said her mom was 30 lbs. I heard females are smaller than males. I'd like her to be a mid-sized dog, but, oh well if she isn't. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her!
We live in Western North Carolina, Hendersonville.
I haven't been a dog owner until now. I did grow up with a Pekingese. Got him when I was 3, we lost him when he was 18! He had a good long life. Since then, no dogs. (I've lived in apartments who wouldn't rent to dog owners). So, you can imagine how happy I've been in the past few months!
I'm glad I found this site. I hope to gain alot of knowledge here with fellow animal lovers.

Welcome. I hope you enjoy the forums. Do you have any pictures of Bella to post?

Oh yes, everyone is going to demand pictures, there should be some sort of warning about that! :)
Boxer/Beagle must be a cute mix though, would you call that a boggle?
If she is only 16 lbs now, she shouldn't get too big. never know! I'm sure you'll find that whatever size she ends up as is just right!

Hi, lovemybella! Welcome to the forum. I'm sure we'll all love Bella, too, but we must have pictures (lots of them :D ) before we'll be able to tell for sure... And then, probably some more pictures after that, too...

She sounds like a real doll!

(don't forget the pictures :thumbs up hazel is such a pest about these things)
