Is this incision infected?

Hi! First of all, thanks for reading. My dog had bladder stone remove and neuter 3 days ago. He is eating/drinking/peeing fine without problem. He doesn't seems to be in pain, he is actually having more energy since yesterday. The vet said that if the wound is red/swollen/pus coming out, we should go back to see him. I check my dog's incision everyday, this redness seems to be there since Friday. My pet is very afraid to go to the vet, I just want to make sure if the incision looks fine or it seems infected? My pet is on antibiotics and painkillers.

Thanks a lot!

If you feel your dog is not healing properly you need to call your vet and see if you should bring your dog in for a check up. I hope your dog will feel better fast.

He seems to be much better day by day, he no longer has blood in his urine. He is wriggling his tails and he is full of energy. I am just unsure if the incision looks normal or if it is getting infected. He is very afraid of going to the vet, he shakes a lot everytime we are inside. I tried my best for him not to go through what he hates as much as possible.

It looks fine to me - there doesn't seem to be much swelling, and I'd think if it were infected you'd see some weeping and pus from the incision areas. Just watch the incision sites for any changes, and of course, your dog's behaviour is the best indicator if things aren't healing properly.

Keep in mind - I'm not a vet! :)

Thanks, my mom and girlfriend both said it is fine too!
