That is the biggest pile of BS I have read in a long time, oh no its not I read something MB said today and we all know if his lips are moving he is lying.
|
I did send him a short and sweet email saying: the only one who should be wearing a muzzle is you
|
Does anyone know if it made it through all the readings, and how long it takes to get through them all? I'm just curious.
Oh, and if you read the bill, it basically says any dog that looks like a pitbull. I don't think that would hold up in court. As a matter of fact, I'm positive it won't. :thumbs up |
I honestly think there are a lot of loopholes to get around the issues in this bill. If you have the time and money unfortunatley most of us dont but if anybody here is a law student we could certainly use the input.
|
Maybe we should call the twit who got the lawyer off on the technicallity of no French on the signs in Toronto? He says he was doing that because of injustice. This should be right up his alley!
|
Individually we might not have enough money to fight the ban, however if a reputable third party (ie Dog Council, Vet assoc) asked for donations to get a lawyer, or if say a Pitrescue group hired a lawyer, or some individual hired a lawyer...and we could send cheques directly to the law firm.... We might be able to stand as one.... Or maybe a class action law suite?
|
There is a group who has hired a lawyer and is planning on filing a suit as soon as the bill is passed. I will look into it and get back to you with which group it is.
|
I think it is www.advocatesfortheunderdog.com . I spoke to the speaker for them on Saturday and she said they have already spoken to a lawyer

When I saw this on TV, I swore I could have punched a whole in the screen.
Has anyone caught the stuff about the Animal Research Act? SICKENING! |
The part about the animal research act is especially horrid...that is disgusting..do you guys have any idea what animals go through when they're being used as test subjects? These are family pets we're talking about here...loveable, sweet, innocent animals!!!!
This needs to stop....there is no justice left on this world if this ban stands....I don't know what else to say..I have been so depressed today..and I have big black circles around my eyes from constantly crying over this...being stressed...depressed..and just drained.. This is terrible...period!  |
He really seems to have HATE On for Dogs!
Since he sees 150 Pit Bulls running around...
He doesn't even seem to care if it IS a Pit Bull. If he did then, I could say he just hates Pit Bulls. |
It is completely disgusting - but it is Ontario law and applies to all dogs, not just Pitbulls.

It's basically the same wording in that section that was used in Kitchener, Winnipeg and Denver.
The Bill had first reading yesterday. Here's links to read to understand how a Bill becomes law in Ontario: http://www.ontla.on.ca/library/billsresources/govbill.pdf http://www.ontla.on.ca/library/billsresources/preleg.pdf
Does anyone know if it made it through all the readings, and how long it takes to get through them all?
