An unknown man - (WARNING - EXTREMELY GRAPHIC TEXT AND PIX)

This happened in Bulgaria in a small town Dryanovo 2 days ago. Mimi is a 5 year old female dog who "has an owner" but lives outside since she was a puppy. Now my sister and other dog lovers are trying to get the dog from her owner and take an adekvat care of the dog. Mimi needs to live in a house and not outside as now. Please give me an advice and suggestion.

Important. This link has 2 pictures of the dog. The images are disturbing.

Mimi needs to be humanely euthanized.

Omg, the horror of what some people are capable of doing.

Monkas March 27th, 2010 10:54 AM

after all this, Mimi lives outside, we are trying to take her from her "owner".. so far he does not want to give her to anyone and she lives outside all alone. Her food is one piece of bread a day......

luckypenny March 27th, 2010 11:10 AM

Monkas, are you there right now? Is there no one who's contacted the police? Is there no laws against this sort of cruelty? Mimi needs an end to her suffering.

babymomma March 27th, 2010 11:16 AM

What a sick SOB. That poor poor dog.

I hope something can be done.
after all this, Mimi lives outside, we are trying to take her from her "owner"..
and you think that"s enough ? You need to call the police ! like yesterday !

I didn"t open the link , I don"t want to see this and I don"t understand why you are posting this here , what do you want us to do if this dog is in Bulgaria

call the police , the humane society , something !!!

Monkas March 27th, 2010 11:28 AM

The police is "investigating" although the law for this is a fine of 300$. So far no one knows who did it. And the police does not care about animals, so the possibility of them finding anything is very small. We dont have any human society in Bulgaria. I am not in Bulgaria at the moment, my sister is there and I am also reading in the bulgarian dog forum about the dog. My sister and other people are trying to get the dog from her "owner" Also animal lovers will boycot the parlament for better and stronger law. Although the parlament does not give a damn... for animals....

Mimi was on tv yestarday on the news but there are no reactions whatsoever from the government....

There are no boundaries. The world is one. All together we can do a lot. I try to show this to the world.

happycats March 27th, 2010 12:11 PM

OMG this is just awful!!!

JMO, but I would just take the dog, when the owner isn't home, or when the owner is sleeping.

I hope the disgusting, sick ****** owner gets paid back 10 fold.......KARMA KARMA KARMA to him.

If we only knew where is the dog now... All we know the dog is outside but not at the same place this happened.... We communicate with the owner's son and so far he does not want to give the dog...

Golden Girls March 27th, 2010 12:44 PM

I'll take the word of others .. and spare myself this visual :(
There are no boundaries. The world is one. All together we can do a lot. I try to show this to the world.
I'm not sure showing this will help this dog  But if your sister is in contact with the owner's son then she's this dogs only hope. Try to get her to convince him to let her have the dog so she could have her humanly euthanized. She must be communicating with him by phone? Can't the police track down that address? The little fine is irrelevant, this dog needs help now.

Monkas March 27th, 2010 12:52 PM

My sister and other dog lovers comunicate with him through the bulgarian dogs forum. The biggest reason he does not want to give the dog is because he does not want anyone to euthanize the dog. I am devastated. The dog is outside and she can not even scratch herself. She lies on the hard ground 48 hours a day and no one turns her left/ right.

Shaykeija March 28th, 2010 12:18 PM

Oh that poor baby. How could someone be so cruel? I am crying so hard right now. I should ot have looked...

Winston March 28th, 2010 12:55 PM

I cant bring myself to look but please look at the following link and see if it helps.

I have had 2 requests to close/delete this thread.

It breaks no rules though. What i have done is edit the thread title because the former thread title in and of itself was very graphic.

Note to the OP - You did nothing wrong by posting this. But as Admin, I took the liberty to edit the thread title as I myself found it disturbing. I did not open the link, nor do I intend to.

Thx - Marko Admin

happycats March 28th, 2010 06:04 PM

I don't think the thread should be closed, you never know someone somewhere may see it and may be able to help, so for the poor dogs sake, it should be kept open.

May someone find you and help you sweet pup :fingerscr

Some news for the dog. We managed to convince the owner to give us the dog. Tomorrow the dog will be taken to a German organization in Bulgaria "Four Paws" and for now the dog will be in a foster home at one of the ladies that work for the German organization. Also a facebook group was created 2-3 days ago and now there are over 115,000 people in the group, asking for stronger animal law enforcement in Bulgaria. I hope everything will be fine. Thank you for the people who supported me.

Thank you for caring. We are sometimes forgetful of how fortunate we are in North America to have the laws we do, even when they seem so woefully inadequate to us, there are places in the world where animals have it worse.

I hope you will take your caring attitude forward and help Bulgaria animal lovers come together and demand change.

News from Mimi. Mimi is doing well. Yestarday her new owner Violeta, Mimi's permanent vet and Mimi travelled from Rousse to Varna for a second vet opinion regarding her new upcoming surgery this time on her 2 front legs and for the future plan for prothestis. Finally Mimi feels very save, but if sometimes she gets a bit scared tears appear in her eyes. The best moment was when after the long day and the tiriing trip Mimi was so happy to be back at her new home..she started wagging her tail as soon as Violeta put her into Mimi's favourite new bed. Before Mimi fell asleep, she got a gentle massage from Violeta.
Many doctors from Germany want to help.

You can see new pictures in her new home here: http://kris4i.snimka.bg/animals/mimi.487970.18043344

Well, isn't she JUST the little doll. :lovestruck: I love that last pic of her getting a kiss. It sounds like she has her very own "I Love Mimi" brigade!

mikischo April 1st, 2010 10:50 PM

Thank you for posting this story, Monka, and for the update on Mimi. Mimi is now surrounded by love and from the looks of some of those pictures, I think she knows it. What a sweet little girl.:lovestruck:
There are no boundaries. The world is one. All together we can do a lot.
I totally agree with that statement.

Please continue to keep us posted on how Mimi is doing. I have joined the facebook group.

Monkas April 2nd, 2010 12:19 AM

I will post updates for you guys.
:)

Good luck. I hope you succeed in getting tougher animal cruelty laws. And sorry I didn't look at the pics, but from the posts on here and from the picture (from FB page) looks like he had her tied down?

Monkas,I too could not bear to look at the before pics, but am very happy this poor little girl is now getting love and care, thank you for the good news:grouphug:
The world is a very cruel place for millions of animals and since they cannot help themselves,we have to do what we can.

no, he cut her 4 legs

Frenchy April 2nd, 2010 10:48 AM

Thank you for the update Monkas , I'm so glad this girl is in a safe place now. :thumbs up

I also joined the FB group earlier this week. I don't think joining any groups there changes anything but if it gives exposure and that someone , somewhere , sees it and is able to do something about it , then some good comes out of it.

chico2 April 2nd, 2010 03:54 PM

Monkas,I think this is the worst animal-abuse case I've ever heard of,I am surprised she did not bleed to death, but I am glad she did not.
However, what kind of life will this poor girl have now, will she ever be able to run and play:(but I suppose love and care is all she needs right now.
To the man who did this,I wish all hell on earth:evil:

Monkas April 2nd, 2010 04:43 PM

You can go to the fb group in the picture section. There are some new photos of Mimi from today's trip at the park. She loves watching the birds and smelling the different smells in the air. She can now lie on her tummy. Before she only lied down on her back and on her sides.
The doctors now are discussing the options of prosthesis. She may have 2 prosthesis on her back legs and for the front it will be a special wheelchair that will support her front body.
