grooming
 

ive got two mice, a white one and a brown one. the white one's a little odd, she keeps grooming me. two days ago i was playing with her, she ran up my arm onto my shoulder, then to the back of my neck. she then put her two paws on my head and started licking and patting down my hair :S anyone know why shes doing this? she also likes to try and eat my arm hair. lol anyone else have this problem?

NO idea whats going on with the grooming but it sounds so adorable!!;)

buttons is the little white one, mittens is the brown one who is now alot bigger lol.

No idea why she's grooming you, but they're cuties. My rat has micked my face, but I think he was just gearing up for me to give him a treat.

When you stroke small animals like rats and mice they think you are grooming them and so they like to do it back, its a sign of affection, you should be pleased! :thumbs up

ive got buttons trained now to climb up on my shoulder... where she promptly begins to eat my hair lmao

my hamster used to eat hair too. ANd my first guinea pig too.

I think rodents are particularly fond of chewing on hair/fur. I'm nor sure why, but be careful they would be willing to give you an unwanted haircut lol

haha she gets bored after awhile, and stops. i think ive trained her too well, when i change their food and she tries to escape i put my hand in front of their door, and now she just climbs up on it lol
