So they're the Goldens of cows ?

There is a farm about 15 miles or so from us who had those cows brought in from Scotland. I can't remember the exact reason they wanted them. My hubby knows but he is in bed at the moment. I will have to try to ask him tomorrow. If I don't forget!
I think they are way too cute to slaughter, that's for sure. Very distinct looking!

They are a lovely colour! I have seen them with much longer and darker coats but their eyes are the same!

Thank you:) Cows are so gentle! Loki likes them as well!

Take care.

The farmer was trying to breed them with our cows to breed a stronger, more cold resistant cow. I guess they figured all the hair would keep them warmer.

Scottish cows shouldn't even feel the cold because of our horrid summers and winters!! They are a hardy lot!

Many thanks 14+kitties, that was interesting!! Wonder if it worked for the farmer. :)

We have quite a lot in some local farms but they are mostly to be found in the Scottish Highlands, or on the road to the Highlands. They are quite a symbol of Scotland!!

Aw thank you - they are quite tame as well. I do love cows - to look at, not to eat!!

Perhaps their forebears came from Scotland - taken over by emigrants from Scotland!!

They are beautiful - swim in their big eyes!

Many thanks for all your lovely responses:)

Take care.
