Billy , a goldie looking for forever home

Here is Billy , a 10 year young female golden looking for a new family. Billy is ok with kids, dogs, and cats too ! She's in good shape and health. She was shaved by her last owner back in April but her fur is growing back. Her foster mom describes her as a sugar golden because she's so sweet :lovestruck: Billy is being fostered in Quebec city. If you think you're the perfect forever family for Billy, you kow where to find me ;)

Now I don't have to remind everyone how wonderful these older dogs are :cloud9:

Frenchy, she's beautiful. I sure hope she gets a wonderful family to love her to bits soon.

I, too, hope she finds a wonderful home soon - she is a beauty..

Frenchy July 28th, 2007 09:46 AM

JanM , you really need to move to Quebec :p

JanM July 28th, 2007 03:36 PM

Well, I really can't see me moving away from the ocean and the forests and the hiking trails here so, let's see now, what's the alternative??????

I'd like to know why there aren't any senior (or younger for that matter)Goldens (at the BC Golden Rescue) that need homes! I look every so often - not that I'm in the "market" for another Golden but if one just happened to drop in my lap, well, gee, what could I do?????

Maybe people in BC are more responsable / loving owners ? No offense to anyone but Quebec is certainly not the number one place for animal welfare

I am so going to get flame for this one

Aww Frenchy, why do people do this to these older sweethearts,it's just heartbreaking, what a wonderful sweet face she has, sooo sad:sad:
But at least she is with people who care:dog:

Hey Rameets...

JanM July 28th, 2007 05:40 PM

From what I see at the SPCA and different rescues, I don't think BCers are any different really - lots and lots of abandoned, abused, neglected dogs and cats - it's heartbreaking when you can't afford to give them all a home!

Billy is still looking for her forever family. So is Simba and I will post the same thing I already posted under Simba's thread :

I will say it again , older rescues are such nice dogs , no training needed as they are already clean in the house , they don't need 2 hours of exercise everyday to be satisfied , just one or two nice walk a day , they only want to love and please their new family. I know that all pets.ca members already have dogs , but it can't hurt to talk about Simba to your friends / family / coworkers , spread the word !

Adopting an older rescue is extremely rewarding , I know , I've been there 3 times !!! And look at me = :cloud9:

Other than reiterating that I do hope they both find wonderful homes, I'm going to pretend I didn't see this note so I won't think of Simba and Bailey at all!

Hey ! Bailey is MY dog !!! This is is Billy  JanM, any good toughts are appreciated ! :goodvibes:

I also wanted to add , we can manage transportation for the right/perfect family for either one of these dogs. (no JanM, not to Vancouver  :p )

JanM August 8th, 2007 03:47 PM

Not to worry, Frenchy - I'd take them both in heartbeat!

Now aren't you glad I'm not in Quebec
