moving cat

My cat Libby is 1yr 8mo, I've had her for 1yr 6mo. We lived in our first apt. for about 6mo then moved to a house for 7mo, then to a different city for 6mo and now I'm having to move again. She has adapted well to the previous moves, however I'm still nervous about her being happy at the new place. She will have less free reign over the house and less access to outside-she is mostly an indoor cat that gets to go out to play occasionally. Any ideas about how to make the move easier for her and to keep her her happy self?

You could get her some cute tunnles that you get at petstores. A catnip plant would help to if she likes catnip. It just depends what she likes. Good luck!

I've moved with my cats several times as well. You just need to make sure you keep her stuff out of boxes until the very last possible minute, and take it out before she gets there if you can. Having her familiar things will help in the transition A LOT!! She will also require more of your attention, which I know is hard when you are trying to unpack and get settled. She needs to be assured that YOU are not going anywhere, that its an adventure for both of you. Maybe buy her a new toy/treat for when you get to the new house!! Sounds like you've moved successfully with her in the past, just do what you do!! She loves YOU not the home she lives in, and as long as you are there, she will be happy!! Good luck!!! :D
