Hello newbie here

just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I have a solid white Persian cat who is almost 3 years old now. He has a very weird obsession with anything mint. I have to hide all toothbrushes and toothpaste. And he can smell it from a mile away too. If you are chewing mint flavored gum, he will come out of nowhere and press his nose on your mouth. He is very lovable and friendly.

My dog is little over a year old and he is a pit bull / chow mix. He is actually very friendly and a quick learner. He is very timid and seems more scared of people than they are of him. He does have a very big fear of water that I don't know how to get him over. Now that he is geting bigger, I am unable to hold him down to give him a bath. So he gets to go to the groomer.

Yes WELCOME to this old board with a new policy - a friendly one :)

My cat is also a minty freak.

If I ever apply any time of cream to my hands that has a hint of mint - Zak (cat) tries to lick it off with that barbed tongue of his.

I remember once I gave my wife a foot massage with a peppermint cream - Zak started licking her feet like a lunatic and my wife could not stop laughing from the funniness and the tickliness of it all. We videoed a good 5 minutes of it.

I probably wouldn't do it again because I doubt that peppermint cream is good for cats - but OH what a funny scene.

Anyhow WELCOME again.

Welcome to the Board (better late than never right?).

My puppy, Hazel, likes anything that smells sweet. If you have gum, or candy - she'll try to sniff your mouth. My late Lacey (RIP) loved my hand cream (almond milk and beeswax) and would lick it off as soon as I put it on. I had to go hide in the bathroom to put my hand cream on. :D
