Hundred and One Dalmations
Has anyone else read the book? I found it in a used book store when I was eight or nine and just read it to pieces. It's so much better than the movie--more characterization, a more intricate plot, and more "doggy" dogs! More realism, too, like the humans having to get a foster mother (Perdita) to help Missis feed her fifteen puppies.
Plus the illustrations are fantastic! Cute scans. I've never read the book... :o

I read it years ago and liked it much better than the Disney version. I'd forgotten how good the illustrations were.
I loved the original "Rescuers" set, too. I don't know if it was the same author or not, but the illustrations I remember are very similar. |

I have the book at my office (an old one I had as a child mde for the 1st Disney movie). The kids read it and love it - I also have That Darn Cat and The Shaggy Dog, two more of my favs, lol

I loved the book!! Although I saw the movie first, I loved the book so much more, and when I watched the movie again, I was sooooo dissapointed by it. After reading it, I asked for the booktape for my birthday ( I think I was about 8 at the time) so that I could listen to it as I fell asleep each night!
