Red-Eared Slider

I have a little (well...for a turtle I guess) Red Eared Slider. He lives in a tank in the kitty's room.

Does anyone else have one? Mine is about 5 years old and I wonder if he's lonely in there? Do they like to come out every now and then and roam around? Or, is he happy in his solitude? I would hate to have an unhappy turtle. ;)

This was him as a baby- my how time flies!! He's quintupled (at LEAST) in size!

lol

ive got two turtles, one ive had for almost 17 years. a neighbour was giving away theirs a couple years after we got the first one and we took it. they were great together for a long time, but about 4 years ago they started fighting and one bit off a peice of the others arm.. so we separated them. now they only see each other when i put them in a kiddie pool in the backyard, for some exercise lol.

WHOOOPS! I will leave him alone then...he's probably used to it by now. I just feel bad for him all alone and bored in a tank. I wonder if they even mind?

I guess their little pea-sized brains can't formulate TOO much...so maybe I shouldn't worry. He has food, water, basking rocks, light, and occasionally a kitty batting at him from above. What could be more entertaining than that??:D
