Skin So Soft

Yes the bath oil , I always used it on myself and the dogs in summer time , to repel mosquitoes. I just spray a bit on them and scrub it on the rest of their bodies. It works great.

But , I tried twice with Churchill and he absolutely hates it. it's like I'm pouring acid on him. He'll drool and go rub himself all over on the dirt under the tree , where there's no grass , so he gets all dirty. :yell: so I guess I wont use it again with him ...

anyone else has a dog that hates SSS ? I just don't get it , it never bothered any of my other dogs

I sound like such a broken record with this stuff, but try giving them all apple cider vinegar in their water daily it repels bugs too.
My dad would squirt sss on my childhood dog, it did work pretty well for her but left her coat a bit greasy I remember.

I have heard that spraying vinegar on people keep the mosquitoes away. I used it when my son was small and it did work but not if the mosquitoes are really heavy. And it doesn't work on black flies.

I've heard that rosemary is good for keeping the bugs away and we put it out at BBQ's for the humans but someone gave me a recipe for a spray using rosemary, water, and I think lemon. I'll try to find it and post it for you.

I use this on my horses, I mix vinegar, alchool, 5-6 drops of geranium and 5-6 drops of lavander...it works!!! I mix the whole thing in a spray bottle. You can substitute the alchool for water, what's good about the alchool is the cooling effect!

I've never thought of using it on my dogs. I dunno why, since I always use it on myself and it works great .
Maybe I'll try it now. I'm sure it makes their coat smell pretty good too.

I guess just like people, dogs have some smells they can't stand. Obviously Churchill doesn't like to smell pretty. He's really been a one of a kind for you hasn't he.

 I have so many different breeds now , they all got me reading on their temp etc ... but yes , Churchill is the one who got me read more about him ... pyrenees are awesome , but not for everyone.
