Bree's Set Back

This morning upon inspecting Bree's stitches, found out that she had removed the stitch's on her leg.

Got her to the vet and he stitched her up again, with me right there :yuck:

She did not try to get at the stitches until this weekend and in one night did a number.

I have tried the E collar but she panics. I also have a donut collar, but she got out of that. Right now we are trying the donut collar and hope it works. I asked the vet to put a bandage on the wound until I got home, sure enough by the time we got home the bandage had slipped down her leg. :yell:

She is lucky we love her

Oh man poor Bree and poor you! Did she actully chew them off or did it split?

Poor thing...give her a hug for me! :thumbs up

Awww Sylvie,hopefully she'll leave them alone now:fingerscr
Vinnie did the same with his stitches,I had to go back to the vet twice, for him to get new stitches:yell:

Sylvie gotta love them eh,,they don't get that the stitches are kinda important. One of my dogs years ago after 5 sets of stitches and staples i ended up having to muzzle til the stitches were due to come out. Hope she leaves them alone this time..

Never thought of the muzzle, that might work if the donut doesn't. Thanks Aslan. Can't afford $100 every time she feels like taking them out.

We've used EMT Spray to both treat and deter our guys from licking booboos.

Oh Bree, don't touch the stitches poor pup. :grouphug:

Awwww... poor Bree (and Bree's mommy!!). I hope the donut collar works :fingerscr

Thorin panicked with the cone at first, then just turned in to a bull in a china shop after . We had to take his off too. His stitches were on his tummy so I decided to take one of hubbys t-shirts (our vet suggested it), put Thorins hind legs through the sleeves, his tail through the neck and tie it around his waist... work perfectly!! :D

Big hugs to both you and Bree!! :grouphug:

Bree, you are a naughty girl.

She may freak wearing a muzzle as well and keep pawing to get it off and scratch herself with her claws. :( You may be able to improvise a pair of pyjama bottoms and cut a hole out for her tail. If you go to the thrift store you can find something cheap to use. :thumbs up

Good luck .....I hope you find something that works. :fingerscr :goodvibes:

Rainbow the stitches are on the front leg.
