Seeking a Schnoodle

My cousin is looking for a Schoodle. She lives on Vancouver Island in British Columbia (BC.), Canada. Does anyone know of a possible source in BC.?

Try petfinders, there's lots of cute mixed breeds there!

Be aware that many people charge a lot of money for cute little mixed breed dogs, telling buyers they are some sort of special breed. A Schnoodle is just a fancy name for a Poodle bred to a Schnauzer - both of these dogs have their own genetic health problems, and someone "breeding" them on purpose is unethical and therefore won't have done any health clearances on the dogs.

Here's an article on the fad of selling "mutts."

There is a so called breeder in BC

That breeds these crosses, I have met some people who bought dogs from them and most are ill or have terrible defects. Buyer Beware!!!

Carina is right, there are tons of adorable mixes available here in BC.

When I was a child, a schnauzer - poodle mix was called a mutt and you could find one being given away out of a box in front of the local supermarket.

I am sure that if you looked at a petstore, you could find a mutt of just about any cross with a fancy designer name and a price to match. They can get anything they want from the nice puppy mill they get their pups from. Of course, if you object to buying a puppy that was born in filth to parents who never see the light of day or the outside of the little cage they are kept in, you may want to consider checking out your local animal control.

Any reason why it has to be a shcnoodle? As the others have said, these are just "mutts"....A friend of mine, her parents bought a shnoodle. They have spent so much money cause of her health. My suggestion, like the others is just have your friend go to the local shelter or spca and adopt.Save a life.

Happy Holidays:)
