Ornamental Grasses Safe for cats to munch on?

I have a little raised garden close to my back door. It's filled with roses but I plan on moving them out this spring to put in more cat friendly plants but also plants that will look good. I've got catnip on my list but was wondering if the ornamental grasses are safe? Are pansies okay? Don't people eat pansies?

I don't know many people who actually EAT pansies.. usually just use the flower for decoration for meals.. however, yes, pansies are edible, and shouldn't harm your cat.

I don't provide flowers for my cats to eat (they manage to eat the ones I bring into the house anyways...) but I do sometimes plant grass for them, I usually plant a sweet grass or the cat-grass that's sold at pet places. It grows very well, and my kitties keep it "mowed". ;)

you could also do an herb garden - thyme, basil, sage, cloves, etc...

I have several ornamental grasses in my garden and the cats like to chew on them,so far there have been no reactions.:fingerscr
They also have their own cat-nip patch, here is a pic of my Rocky in seventh heaven:D
Be careful with the cat-nip,it is a weed and spreads like wildfire..
