My Kitten Has Digestive Problems!

She isn't weened fromher mother yet and she is the runt but I've had kittens before and this has never happened to them. When she eats regular kitten food she gets constipated and when she drinks from the mother she gets really bad runs. Someone help!

How old is she? Has she been to the vet for a check-up (with fecal sample)?

And what kind of kitten food are you feeding her? (dry? wet?)

I agree ....she definitely needs to see a vet with poop sample asap. Good luck and keep us posted. :fingerscr

Drinking from her momma may cause soft stools because it is made so momma can clean them when they are kittens.

You cat may not be able to digest grains or corn, try a kitten food such as Kitten Wellness (only sold in quality pet food stores) canned of course. Even the gluten/grain free Fancy Feast may be OK for her.

Kitten's digestive tracts are not fully formed when they are born, hers still may be a bit premature, or may end up being very sensitive. Quality canned food may be a must for her.

She really does need to see a vet to have a fecal check.
