In today's London Free Press, the following article was printed. Basically, London has decided to wait to see what the province decides to do. Councillor Roger Caranci stated that enforcement is the biggest issue. It is intended that a new bylaw would be directed at "menacing or dangerous" dogs, and they would be required to wear muzzles and be put down if their owners refuses. The city is also developing new regulations, such as tiered licensing fees and mandatory spaying/neutering.

I wish people did more research. muzzling dogs only causes them to become more aggressive and vicious. I just don't understand the ignorance of these people. Its like talking to a wall!

Here's another municipality to add to the list.
Trent Hills- And get this, the Councillor that drafted the legislation, had a dog that was attacked by a pitty. As she researched, she realized that a ban won't work.

Wow. A politician that actually researches, and can put personal feelings aside.
I'm guessing she ain't a Liberal.

GOOD! Its great that she has emotional ties to this situation yet she did the right thing and researched and educated herself. It would be nice if she could teach a thing or two to Mr. Bryant. And shes going to recommend her findings to him which is another voice we certainly need.

Excellent! We need somewhere here we can track all the BSL related articles (especially the good ones). Some place where they are all in one spot, like a resource. It's tough going through all the threads and comments trying to find the links. A separate thread? Just a thought.
