There's a lovely and lively female German Shepherd at the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA that has been looking for a home for a while now.
Pictures and whatnot can be found here:

Is this a kill shelter ?
If so, I have a contact with GSR Toronto. They specialize in rescuing GSs from kill shelters.
They found a great home for Zhia (mom and 5 pups abandonned in the woods). Zhia was the last one not adopted and the municipality was giving the foster mom a hard time for too many animals, so GSRT helped this little one.

She's no longer at the site -- which means she's most likely been adopted :) I'll ask about this next Friday when I'll be up there again.
The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA is working hard on being a no-kill shelter; they still have to euthanize animals due to bad health, or serious temperament issues.
