ST. JOHN'S - A small puppy in Newfoundland will soon be getting a very special bone.
Quincy, an eight-month-old German Shepherd, is having an artificial leg designed to replace the one he lost last week in a car accident.
The pooch was hit by a car in the community of Paradise, Nfld.
His leg had to be cut off after a veterinarian was unable to save it.
But Northstar Networks Ltd., a St. John's-based defence and aerospace contractor, is designing a puppy prosthesis for the animal.
After that, it will just be a matter of finding a home with people willing to love the unique pup.
