They have a good price and offer good things and parents are OFA certified. But i doubt my parents would drive 13 hours
They do offer delivery but i would like to see the dog in person

Don't do it. Unless things have changed, she does not socialize puppies as she claims

I personally don't think a German Shepherd is the best breed for a first time dog owner unless they work with dogs all the time. Have you read anything about them , they need to have a very strong minded owner .

You can check the OFA results online yourself - ask for that information.

What is being done with the dogs besides breeding? Are they being shown? Are they working dogs? Agility, CGC, etc? Health testing is only a very small part of the package - look at the entire package. What about the grandparents? Can you go 7 generations back with her lines?

Too many red flags for me personally with this breeder. I'd pass.

Barkingdog is right. Look I'm caring for a mix of Belgian Malinois and unknown and I'm not precisely a first time however it's the first time I have to train and be a 100% main handler and it can be quite complicated to be honest. Now some people just have the gift. Particularly people who have handled animals ie: rachers, etc because they know and they're used to strong willed animals. Or people who have handled dogs for a while. They need a lot of space and daily exercise. My Ragnar is a good guy but he just won't take leadership from me. And I thought I was strong minded but you see not as much as I thought.
If this is your first time, think about it very carefully. All dogs are beautiful and awesome but you also have to think about the equation dog/human handler.
Just an advice from my own experience but of course it's up to you.
