I'm sure lots of you know about these. I recently introduced the kittens to them, the new thing is we play in the bathtub. Dry bathtub. :) The sides of the tub keep the balls contained, sometimes an enthusiastic bat does send them up over the edge. Mostly the edges make them roll back toward the cat. The holes in the little plastic golf balls make them roll erratically and they make a pleasant sound the cats seem to like. They don't stop up the drain like paper balls can, if they get wet.

Only one of my two kittens really likes these and I have to get her started on them each time. Then she'll go to town with them for about 5 minutes. As with many toys, supervise. Lucy got one in her mouth, at the back, and her teeth caught in the holes. I hide them when we are not playing together. I have to shut the door too, Lucy will pick them up and walk away with them. Mine are orange, you can find them in sports or golf stores, the link is just in case you aren't a golfer and have no idea what they look like.
