Hi,
As was mentioned, in a previous posting, the title of the forum "Ask the Vet" is a very misleading title.
It may not be my place (as a fairly new "newbie") to mention this, but I'd like to suggest changing the title of the forum to something along "Pet Health" or "Pet Wellness". (You get the drift)
As was also mentioned, the Vets do not stop by very often. At one point, I actually saw a Vet reply to a posting that was very old (and the problem - I believe - had been solved). The Vet posted an answer to the original post, but didn't seem to even read from the 2nd post onward.
I think the Vets do an awesome job and wish they could be around more often. But, since they can't, I think changing the name of the forum would benefit newbies a lot more than them thinking Vets read the posts every day.
My .02.
