Miikka and Minni have now been with Chum and me for over a month now. They had been quarantined in the kitchen at night due to their appalling lack of house training. I am happy to say we have not had any eliminating in the house for almost 3 weeks now. and we have been given free access to house at night for over a week and no night time messes either! Such good girls...it really didn't take long for them to catch on. Who ever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks just didn't try hard enough. I take them outside just before bed and still go out with them just to make sure they do their business. Occasionaly I have to nudge Minni off the deck and onto the lawn, but as soon as I do she gets her business done. If I go out I leave the dog door open so they can come and go as they please and I no longer come home to puddles of piddle and little turds here and there! Everyone loves to go for nice long walk...I was afraid little Minni would get overtaxed but she motors right along. All in all one big happy family.:dog::dog::dog::cool::thumbs up

That's so good to hear! It's nice that they're working out the routine and getting along well!!

What great news, God bless you for taking one these two little souls and having the patience to train and love them and nurture them into the wonderful souls that they are now. What a great little family you have there!:grouphug: I think we need more pics though.

You hit the nail on the head pattymac....."routine" I don't think they ever had one before. They now know breaky is @ 7:30 and supper is @ 5:00 bedtime @ 10:00 never off by more than 30 mins. Whenever they come in from doing business they go sit in front of the treat cupboard ,I still keep the toddler lock on there! Thanx DD...they really are sweet little girls that just needed a firm hand, boundries and a reward for doing what was expected of them. Chum likes them and since he went deaf last fall it is nice that they can be his little hearing aids and he can now guard his domain fully again!! They are cute as hell all lined up in the window and letting anyone who ventures on the property know they have been spotted and to beware! I do like dogs to bark and let me know something is up.
