15yr old female treated for roundworms still not doing well

my 15yr old cat was treated on the 17th(yesterday)with 1 pill for roundworms she had them quite bad she now has a very abnormal discharge brownish redish in colour. is this because of the worms or another problem entirely? she will be getting another pill for the worms in 14days.she did not have this discharge yesterday and now she is hiding. Any advice would appreciated i am very concerned

Can you call the vet and see what they say? It may be something unrelated, and the hiding part is very worrisome.

You have my condolences, I have a cat too who is the same.

Apparently when they hide from people it is a sign that they are really really sick. My discharge is this like poop? It would mean some sort of upset in the digestive tract. Mines is pooping bright red bloody mucus. But because it is so runny it is just dripping from him....gross I know.

thank u guys i did call the vet they said it shouldnt be from the worms and to bring her in but she wont come when i call her and she bolted outside yesterday and now she is hiding!

It might not work, but whenever my cats run away (in the house at least) if I shake a jar of dry food, they come running. If you don't have anything to put the food in, try in a bowl and shaking, or sometimes you can shake a bottle of pills. The noise seems to bring them home.
