Where do you purchase your supplies/ kennels for you dog? Are there relatively inexpensive places to get the stuff? Online stores?

I think many of our Ontario members buy from a store called Global Pet Foods, there is also PetSmart, Petcetera either in store or online for supplies. Have a look around your area to see if there are any smaller local pet supply stores (like Global), they generally have the healthier holistic food options & don't sell pets.

Check out the food forum for some good suggestions on a good quality food to feed that doesn't contain fillers or suspect ingredients. A food with higher quality ingredients will help keep you new pup happy & healthy for years to come.

Crates - shop around for sales, check out garage sales etc. - lots of people get a crate, put the puppy in, puppy fusses and they NEVER use the crate again. You can get some good deals!

Leashes/collars - Walmart has good basic ones, depends on what you like, I also have gotten them at pet planet etc. just shopping around.

Dishes - dollar store stainless steel bowls rock!

Buckets for water - horse supply places usually have a good selection and good prices, last time I was in they had $8 buckets in every colour. We have a black rubber bucket that works great and a stainless steel one for in the house.

Beds - making some soon, for now they have rubber mats in the dog room and a big pillow bed from costco in the house, not that they use it.
