Lost Cat: North Bay, ON

I've been looking for our kitty since Saturday, posted/dropped off flyers anywhere I could think of but so far nothing :(
I try to tell myself that she can hear me calling her name throughout the neighbourhood from her hiding place, probably giggling while she enjoys her freedom but the thought of her being cold, scared, hungry or injured is so painful.
I'm posting her information in the hopes that someone in the Lakeshore/Thelma area of North Bay might see her...we just miss her so much

Name: T'Pau (Humane Society also has her under the name "Jade")

Short-haired black, white and orange calico, about 2 1/2 years old

She escaped from her harness in our backyard on June 2. T'Pau is an indoor cat who rarely goes outside so she's not familiar with the area or being outdoors

She is shy and skittish but not aggressive

Slim, around 9 lbs

She doesn't have a collar but is microchipped and registered with the Humane Society.

Last seen on Mariah Street though there was a possible sighting on June 4th on Harris. She might also have wandered into the woods around Thelma or Booth

Contact Information:

By email: Tpau12@hotmail.com
By phone: North Bay Humane Society (you can arrange to have her picked up and they'll contact us): (705) 474-1251
Or she can be dropped off during regular business hours at:
Blue Sky Animal Hospital: 14 Gertrude Street; (705) 472-1570

Her family and our other cat misses her dearly, so if you have any information (good or bad) regarding her whereabouts or are able to capture her, PLEASE email us or bring her into the Humane Society or Blue Sky Animal Hospital.

Thank you for any help provided and thank you for caring!

If you can put her litterbox and/or a worn but unwashed t shirt or pair of smelly shoes of yours out on the deck this may help lead her home :fingerscr

Go around the neighbourhood at dusk/dawn calling her, rattling a treat container or tap a spoon on her dish or tin of food. Bring a flashlight to pick up the shine off her eyes from under cars/decks/bushes or up trees.

If you can poster the neighbourhood, plus leave one w/ local businesses, schools, pet supply stores, grocery stores, bus stops, vets & all animal shelters in the area that will help garner attention that this kitty has a home who wants her back

Please visit the animal shelters in person often times the shelters are understaffed/over worked with so many animals/requests etc they may not have the time to personally look into each phone call or an emergency/something comes up in the meantime & the request gets overlooked.

Going in person means you can visit & identify the cat right away, if an animal comes in terrified it may act out of character & be labeled as sick or a feral and not be placed with the general population please ask to see these areas as well.

Good luck :goodvibes: & :fingerscr

I can't believe someone ripped off half the posters I'd put up around the neighbourhood. Even if you don't like cats, why do that :(

Did you have the posters on telephone poles ? Some cities do no allow you to put posters on the poles as they're private property.

No, it was on neighbourhood PO Boxes and we checked with Canada Post to make sure it was ok. It happened on a Saturday afternoon so it's most likely a private citizen.
