How to prevent my dog from being jealous when i bring a puppy dog?

Well, in less than a week time i'll be bringing a puppy dog [female].but the prob,is that i fear my 4 year old dog[male] may feel jealous, or think that i prefer the puppy to him.[cause a puppy will need more attention].any1 know what i can do to prevent both dogs from getting jealous?thanks.

I'd say keep your routine similar and show the same amount of attention (or more) to the resident dog. If you normally walk and play with the resident dog at a certain hour. try not to let that change.
