Introducing Myself and Samson

Hi everyone!

I'm new here (figures, as I'm posting in this thread). Call me sxadhi; I'm 21, a student studying English Lit and Linguistics in Ottawa, and I like custard-y desserts.

This is a real cat; his name is Samson, he's about 6 months now, playful, and extremely affectionate:

As you can see, it's quite difficult to get a picture of him unless he's sleeping, because otherwise he's running around, jumping on things, engaged in epic combat with teddy bears, etc.

I hope to meet some fellow feline-lovers here, and establish a base of friendly cat-support.

bahaha you're right, I look just as foxy as Samson does... (on a related note, I'm still sorta figuring out how to properly link out to pictures!)

Samson was neutered just yesterday. It's my first time neutering a pet so I am a nervous wreck at home; I just want his recovery to go smoothly! And that's why I joined this forum, thought I could use some moral support over the next two weeks and beyond!

Fortunately for your peace of mind, the operation for getting boys neutered is fairly simple and quick :thumbs up
Both of ours have been done, and once the anesthetic wore off were running around like normal (even though they weren't supposed to, it's hard to make a cat sit still if it doesn't want to.)
I'm sure your Samson will be home and doing the same in no time.

Samson's sleeping right now (second night he's been home after the neuter) and I'm worried that when he wakes up he'll be all energetic and running around and such...I've attempted to move around furniture so he won't be making crazy jumps...but still I worry.

Though I have heard lots of stuff about male cats' surgeries being very simple and relatively easy for the cats to recover from... So my mind is torn between reassurance and unnerving anxiety! Ahah, oh well, I have my fingers crossed.
