A family trip to a corn maze resulted in a new member of the family coming home. I haven't firmly decided on a name, but it's a toss up between Faith and Misty. she's 6 weeks old. I've got her in the spare bedroom for now, since Gizmo is really not happy about her being here, but I expected that.

Absolutely adorable :lovestruck: She looks like a Misty to me :cat:

I think we need more of the background story here :) only 6 weeks old and coming from a corn maze?

Will need daily pic updates :cloud9:

 the name has actually been decided, and it's neither of the two I was thinking of! We (myself, my mother, and my best friend) have decided to call her Boo, after the little girl in the Monsters Inc. movie.

So what happened is this: I went with my sister and her kids to a local corn maze. It's a fairly large farm, with a lot of activities, including a small petting zoo. they had a pen with half a dozen kittens they were trying to rehome. some of the kittens, like the one my sister took home (little black and white guy she called Cap'n Jack) had been born on their farm. but Boo and her sibling had been born on another farm, where their mother got killed:rip: and the folks there weren't able to take care of the kittens. so they asked the family that owns the corn maze if they could, and they did. they bottle fed until just recently, but then had switched them over to Fancy Feast canned adult. Poor little Boo had diarrhea when I brought her home. I've switched her over to the Wellness kitten canned, and that's cleared right up, thankfully.

She's such a little lover! Gizmo has always been a bit more rough and tumble, independent type, but Boo is very, very happy to curl up inside your jacket and purr for as long as you like. But she's far from lazy! she loves to play, and spent about half an hour exploring my computer desk last night, and rolling around a cloth rubberband that had been rolled into a ball. I have no idea what breed she is, I'm assuming Domestic Longhair. she's got an appointment for Friday for her first checkup and shots.

And yes, I will post more pictures. I've got a few more that I'll put up in the picture section:D

Her markings (light coloured body with darker colour on the "points":ears, nose, paws, tail) suggests a Siamese or Himalayn somewhere in her background. Probably not a purebred, but very likely part of her background.
She is adorable.:lovestruck:

Boo is a seasonal/location appropriate name :D

So sad about the mother & litter but lucky for them the farm/maze owners were able to help out. :thumbs up

I agree with ownedbycats ~ the pointed markings & blue eyes suggest either Siamese or Himalayan, but the long hair points more towards a Himalayan or Balinese (long haired Siamese w/plume tail)

Will be looking for lots more pics :cloud9:
